Health and fitness have always played a very important role in Jessica's life. She has trained and coached kids and adults with great success over many years, and it is truly her passion to spread the joy of fitness and living a healthy lifestyle to as many people as she can.
Jessica graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, working as a teacher for 3 years after graduating. But Jessica always knew aerial fitness was how she wanted to spend the majority of her time. She is able to apply her skills as a teacher still as an aerial fitness trainer and coach. The fun she has teaching and accomplishing new feats in the air make everyday one she looks forward to. Jessica has been training in the disciplines of aerial arts for over 5 years now, and it has allowed her to develop more strength and flexibility than she ever thought she could possibly have.
Jessica has trained with countless professional aerialists and Cirque du Soleil artists around the nation in the disciplines of specific apparatuses, flexibility/contortion training, and strength & conditioning techniques. She is so excited to share the joy of flying and fitness with you!
Aerial arts Instructor
Laura grew up playing soccer, tennis, and running, and continues to be active in these sports. Her transition to aerials was by coincidence, but she instantly fell in love with the combination of strength and beauty that silks provides. She believes that aerials give her new challenges as she focuses on improving her flexibility, stamina, and confidence as a performer. She emphasizes balance in her personal fitness and attributes aerial fitness as giving her the equilibrium she was looking for. She is enthusiastic to be a part of Bella Forza’s team imparting her love of aerials onto new students!
Aerial fitness has become a huge part of Laura’s life. She has trained on a variety of circus apparatuses including silks, Spanish web, lyra, and trapeze. She is thrilled to be using these skills to perform in her first circus in Louisville this spring. Laura loves being airborne in all its forms, in addition to aerials as she is also a pilot and has a hard time keeping her feet on the ground!
Yoga (RYT), Weight Training, Kickboxing and HIIT Instructor
Olivia is a high-enery, young and fit individual who grew up in the gym setting. She has specialized training in aerial yoga, vinyasa yoga, water aerobics and an AFAA certification for Primary Group Exercise. Undergoing education for 200hr RYT, Olivia has received training from various Registered Yoga Trainers (RYTs) and has attended arm balance as well as acroyoga workshops. She also went through AFAA’s yoga teacher training course. She currently teaches yoga , yoga sculpt, water aerobics, aerial yoga, weight training, bootcamps and dance aerobics!
Dance, barre, piyo, and pole Fitness Instructor
Karen started dancing at a young age and has nearly 20 years experience in dance and choreography. Her credits include college dance teams at Morehead State and University of Kentucky as well as Lexington Lady Legends. She has been teaching fitness pole dancing for over 5 years and was recently certified in both PiYo and Barre Fitness! Karen is thrilled to teach at Bella Forza Fitness as she gets to combine all her favorite passions in one studio!
Yoga Sculpt Instructor (RYT)
Mandy is not only a Massage Therapist and Yoga instructor, but her unstoppable curiosity for full being wellness has carried her forward. Growing up in the Baltimore, MD area, Mandy’s east coast flare for life is a dynamic additive to her massage & yoga practice. Her ability to be direct, yet empathetic to your spiritual needs make for an unstoppable aid in your quest for body, mind, and spirit well being.
For a surprising twist, Mandy played Ice Hockey. This complements her ability to work with Athletes, plus understanding different personalities and personal needs. She is currently monkeying around and expanding her strength training though Aerial Silks classes! She has also been the head training coach for Orange County Roller Girl’s “fresh meat,” is passionate about scuba and free diving. Always looking for ways to grow mentally, spiritually, and physically Mandy fully understands the complexities of life. Come join Mandy for a Yoga session or class. Michelle has discovered through personal weight loss and engagements with the community she serves, that improving your fitness is more than fitting into certain clothes or seeing a number on a scale. In order to be prepared for life's opportunities, she believes strength, flexibility, endurance, and confidence are absolutely necessary. These elements of health and wellness have positive effects on an individual's life that extend far beyond how many push-ups you can do or how fast you can run a mile. They open the door to a variety of opportunities and allow you to face those opportunities with confidence.
Michelle know that sometimes the most difficult part is getting started so all you have to do is show up! She focuses on functional fitness through exercises that will require minimal equipment and are therefor easily accomplished anywhere and by anyone. Set healthy goals, commit, and come enjoy results while developing fantastic friendships. You can do it and there is no reason not to start today.
Janie has been practicing Pilates for over 14 years. After developing an appreciation of the full body benefits of Pilates, she decided to start her instructor training. She trained with Balanced Body University in 2010 and has completed training on Mat and all Pilates apparatus. She has worked in various studios in Nashville, Tennessee and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She completed a second training and certification in 2013 with Kathy Corey/West Coast Pilates and has an ongoing practice of training with different trainers to stay up with innovations in the industry. She just moved back to Kentucky in January where she runs a private fully equipped Pilates studio from her farm near the Kentucky Horse Park, teaches equipment classes from studios in Lexington and teaches Pilates as a college PE class at the University of Kentucky. She is looking forward to incorporating the Pilates method into the overall fitness training program at Bella Forza.
Aerial yoga, dancefit INSTRUCTOR
Lis is 29 years old; a wife and mother first and always. Lis had her first taste of yoga 10 years ago. She fell in love from the start but another chapter of her life was starting as she was pregnant with her son. She didn't return to yoga for 2 years but then decided to get certified. Once again her life headed in another direction as she was pregnant with her second child. She practiced yoga until 8 months pregnant and motherhood has kept her very active. At 22 Lis took a very different route and started teaching Zumba to which she loved the movement and music. After 2 years her family made a move to Seattle where she came back to yoga and realized it was her foundation! She absolutely loves it and now her family practices with her too! Now that she has discovered silks, she says her life is complete :) Certifications: Yoga Fit Level 1, Zumba Level 1 & 2, and Hip Hop Hustle.

Jana comes to us from Cookeville, TN with over 6 years experience in Group Fitness, a Masters in Exercise Science, and a contagious energy for health and fitness. She's currently certified in Zumba and Hip Hop Hustle with specialty training in boxing, aerial yoga, muscle/toning, bootcamps, combat, kickboxing, aqua aerobics, and cycle. Jana's motivational motto, "Max effort equals Max results!"

Charity has participated in many different sports over the years but she fell in love with aerial fitness on day one. She is now excited to be able to teach and share her passion with others! Charity loves the empowerment and confidence that aerial fitness provides. She also enjoys the unique challenges that present in the aerial arts. As a nurse, health is very important to her and Charity is excited to be able to promote the health of the community through fitness. Charity also loves the performance aspect of aerials and has competed in the first Aerial Expo in Des Moines this past summer and is looking to compete again in the future.

Throughout Ashlee’s childhood she struggled to find activities that suited her personality until finally she found snowboarding. From there her venture into less known avenues began. Health and fitness became very important aspects of her life and she loves sharing those with others - especially all the fun ways to do it!
Ashlee first found flight through rock climbing. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with her B.A. in International Relations she went into the wild, living in her tent at Miguel’s (a pizza and rock climbing shop) in the Red River Gorge. Not long after returning to civilization she found flight in the city too through Bella Forza and has since trained under Jessica. Recently she has taken to the lyra and is exploring this amazing apparatus. In her spare time she enjoys contortion, yoga, and playing with her dog Roux.
Buti Yoga Instuctor
A native of Berea, KY and avid outdoorswoman, Bethany has always led an active lifestyle. She has over 10 years of experience in ballet, tap and jazz, as well as many years playing soccer and tennis. She has also had ongoing love affairs with yoga and whitewater kayaking for many years. When Bethany found Buti yoga, it changed her life. She was so inspired that she became an instructor in fall of 2013 so she could share Buti yoga with other women. Bethany feels passionately about the guiding force behind Buti yoga, which is to empower women and provide them with a total mind-body transformation.
hoop dance INSTUCTOR
Sara is a student at Pomona College and a native of Lexington. Sara's experience with dance and movement began with 12 years of training with the Lexington Ballet Company. Her training includes 15 years of ballet as well as modern, jazz, yoga, acroyoga, silks and hip hop. Sara discovered hoop dance almost 5 years ago, and has performed and taught extensively in Lexington and beyond. She performs with Lexington's March Madness Marching Band and as a duo with her collaborator and partner Keaton Butler. She now performs with the Pomona College Circus while at school. Sara has taught hoop gymnastics and partner hooping workshops at Playthink Fest and at Mecca Dance Studio in Lexington, as well as weekly beginner hoop classes during the summer and advanced private lessons. Sara is thrilled to be teaching at Bella Forza!
Spanish Web Instructor
Meg Wallace has been an aerialist for a little over 2 years, with a strong background in yoga and dance. She specializes in silks and Spanish webs, but also performs lyra, double lyra, and ladders (a swinging, partner apparatus). She currently teaches silks at Louisville Turners Circus, is co-organizer of their frequent student showcases, and is a local, free-lance performer. When she is not in the air, Meg is busy with her big girl job: assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Kentucky.
Lyra and Static Trapeze Instructor
Terri Kendall, mother and school psychologist, is a passionate aerialist and instructor who has trained in various cities with a variety of instructors in the USA for the past four years. She has performed for the past 4 years at theaters, clubs, bars, festivals, and churches with small circuses, bands, musicians, DJs, magicians, and burlesque troupes. Her specialties in aerial performance include aerial rope, static trapeze, lyra, and double trapeze, but she has also performed spanish web, aerial silks, rings, pole, and aerial pole. She is currently an instructor at Turners Circus in Louisville where she teaches children, teens, and adults.
Erik Rose has nearly 10 years of experience coaching competitive gymnastics and after discovering a love of yoga pursued an Alliance Yoga teaching certification in 2012. In addition to a passion for teaching, Erik is a lifelong movement enthusiast and lover of all things outdoors.
