Here are a few quick tips on how to successfully do a no-handed side stag. Some may also call this move a side hip lean. Executing a side stag includes similar movements to a hip key (pull your knee in to your chest, and point your butt toward the ceiling!).
When you're comfortable doing this move standing in the knot, try it in a foot lock, eventually letting go with both hands. Combine the side stag with other movements up high to create a beautiful sequence that you could use in a routine!
